Our primary goal for all the electronics and computers we collect is to refurbish, repair and reuse as much as possible. This allows us to divert 10 million pounds of e-waste and metal scrap from landfills every year.

But we don’t stop there. We comply with state, federal, and international standards and continue to stay up-to-date with the latest recycling trends to further mitigate the impact that ewaste has on the environment. We are certified by the California Department of Resources Recycling and Recovery (CalRecycle) under CEW ID: 109503 and the California Department of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC) under EPA ID: CAL000443021.

In August 2017, Green EWaste Recycling Center became ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Management System Certified. The ISO 14001:2015 standard is the latest and most rigorous standard for environmental management.

An environmental management system helps organizations identify, manage, monitor and control their environmental issues in a holistic manner. Like other ISO management systems, it uses a High-Level Structure. This means it can be integrated easily into any existing ISO management system. It also includes the need for continual improvement of an organization’s systems and approach to environmental concerns.
